Meditation Retreat with sound bath and Tibetan Yoga – 3 – 5 April 2020

Meditation practice can help us rest our mind in a state of calm and relaxed presence (using mindfulness, awareness and spaciousness).

Some of the benefits of meditation practice include : experience of being calm and still, lower anxiety levels, lower blood pressure & heart rate, increased focus & attention. Meditation can also bring a sense of peace and lead to understanding and insights.

Doing a retreat is a great opportunity to take a step back from our ordinary unnecessary busyness and allow us to connect with our deeper nature. This residential weekend is an opportunity to deepen our meditation practice in the inspiring environment of Sli Na Bande, Co. Wicklow, an eco-friendly retreat centre, with beautiful natural grounds and wooden yoga studio / meditation room.

The weekend will include: guided meditation sessions, sound bath meditation (with Ginny Hamilton), Kum Nye (Tibetan yoga with Matt Padwick) outdoor walking meditations, advice on how to integrate meditation experience into our everyday life. There will also be free time (Sli na Bande is located beside a forested area which is perfect for walks).

Kum Nye is a form of yoga from the Tibetan tradition. Consisting of gentle movement exercises, suitable for all ages and fitness levels, Kum Nye brings a sense of relaxation, balance and well-being. In this retreat we will experience how Kum Nye is a very effective gateway to the practice of meditation, and also a way to deepen our practice.
